Coleco Sonic Handheld
The creators of the legendary ColecoVision console have returned to the market, shipping the Sonic Handheld, a portable unit loaded with over a dozen older Sega games. Titles in the mix include "Alex Kidd," "Altered Beast," and "Sonic Triple Trouble." Handhelds with pre-loaded games are not a new development; most, however, do not feature games from a reputable name such as Sega. Target is currently selling the Sonic for $50 online and at retail.
