BenQ Pro-Series LCDs

BenQ today said it has released four new computer displays in its professional-series lineup that are targeted at business but available to everyone. Most notable is the new FP92W ($269, pictured), which BenQ says is the first 19-inch widescreen to have a 5ms response time. This makes it ideal for games, videos, and oter fast-action scenes, the company claims. Also released in widescreen is the FP222W ($499), a 22-inch, 1680x1050 display with similar performance. Two standard-ratio displays were also released to complement more mainstream use: the FP73GS ($229) and FP93GS ($289) are 17-inch and 19-inch 4:3 displays that both have ultra-thin bezels for dual-screen arrangements.

All four displays have both DVI and VGA inputs. Each also promises the same 5ms pixel response rate, a 700:1 contrast ratio, and the company's automatic i Key and Senseye systems for automatically adjusting the display and its color quality. The new LCDs are all expected to ship in mid-November.
