i-mate's newly-revealed JAQ3 is a messenger phone running Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC. Applications such as Office Mobile, MSN Messenger, and Windows Media Player Mobile come pre-loaded. Central to the hardware design is a 2.4-inch landscape touchscreen, which allows simpler control through a stylus. The phone is also controlled via a scrollwheel, a QWERTY keypad, and five navigation buttons. It can connect to the Internet through GPRS, EDGE, and 802.11b/g WiFi, and it has a 2 megapixel camera located on the back. Each device comes bundled a trial version of i-mate Suite, a program designed to share and safeguard business data. The JAQ3 is now on sale in the Middle East.
