Jabra BT 8010 Headset

Bluetooth specialist Jabra today previewed its hybrid BT 8010 headset. Where most cellphone headsets are limited solely to mono or stereo sound, the new Jabra headset invites flexibility, according to the company. Listeners can either use just the primary earpiece when holding a conversation or attach a smaller, secondary earpiece through an audio cable to add stereo for music listening. This gives callers a choice between audio quality and battery life: though listening with both earpieces can last for up to 6 hours per battery charge, that life can be extended to 10 hours when calling is the only concern. Pricing and availablity have not been announced.
