NEC 16:10, 25.5-inch LCD
NEC's forthcoming MultiSync LCD2690WUXi-BK has an irregular 16:10 aspect ratio, with a width of 25.5 inches. The display should also be HD ready, being equipped with VGA, DVI-I, and DVI-D HDCP inputs, and supporting resolutions up to 1920x1200 (1080p is 1920x1080). Contrast is measured at 800:1 with 400cd/m2 brightness. Response times can be as low as 12ms, but the display does have a 178-degree viewing angle, as well as a purported 91-percent coverage of the Adobe RGB color gamut. The display is being marketed primarily towards businesses such as hospitals. As of press time, no cost or release date had been set.
