Hidden iPhone features
A YouTube video by Actioncorp (embedded below) claims to glean unmentioned features of the Apple iPhone by analyzing Steve Jobs' recent MacWorld keynote. The Calendar application was scarcely mentioned during the presentation, for instance, but still photos reveal three different views (Day, Month, Year) and a display of upcoming events within a timeframe. Also, when scrolling through lists on the phone, a column of letters on the right-hand side lets users tap to instantly jump to sections alphabetically. The most interesting revelation may be the likelihood of ringtones bought or created by the user, which is suggested by the likes of a "Ringtones" tab used in the keynote version of iTunes. Click below for more details.

The calendar app can show day, week, or month! Wow! Just like, I don't know, iCal! I never would have guessed. I would've bet millions they were only going to have Year, Decade, and Century views!

Wow! If only the iPod had such a nifty navigation method! Oh, wait, it does...

That's just so.....I don't know what!
And if that's listed as "the most interesting revelation", there's absolutely no reason to check out the article/video.

testudo hit the nail on the head. this really is not ground breaking news.
"The Calendar application was scarcely mentioned during the presentation..." maybe because it is a calendar. I'm sure Mr. Jobs wanted to show 'cooler' features than a calender.
But only time will tell if there are actually any 'hidden' features worth mentioning.

I don't usually agree with your sarcastic remarks testudo but they fit here 100%. There could not have been a better response.

I don't know... I agree with most everything you said but the ringtones part did interest me. I figured that ringtones would just be something you could make and obviously use from your own music collection seeing as how it is an iPod too... but instead you have to buy individual ringtones most likely from music you already own. I think thats ridiculous and I hope I am still able to make my own ringtones on my mac for my iPhone.

the button in the lower left corner of the maps screen is 'a fork and a spoon' which is the international symbol for 'restaurants'....so hitting the button will surely show availabile 'eateries' within the given map screen.
Of course I could be wrong, but I'm not... most GPS systems include this feature already....

feature is...
The iRingtone Store!
Thousands and thousands of ringtones, all with 3 note previews. Not sure if they are going to be 1.99 or 3.99, the 1.99 is probably too low. They already have the press release drafted about how they have sold $200,000 worth in the first week.
Stockholders will be ecstatic that all of them will be synthed so no rights need to be paid, so we're talking PURE profit.
Testudo told me that right about now, the only product worth anything from Apple is a share of stock. Or better yet, thousands of shares.
