BlackBerry 8300 Revealed

Photos and details of the BlackBerry 8300 have been leaked online. Nicknamed the "Daytona," the silver handset will be the media-friendly equivalent to the BlackBerry 8800 and should have the best camera of the entire 8000-series so far, shipping with a 2-megapixel sensor, LED flash, and zoom. The camera will also represent the first of its kind in any full-size BlackBerry. Most if not all software improvements will focus on media features: the interface will be closer to the Media Center front-end on PCs, the source says. GPS and a better loudspeaker will also be built-in.

More details and the gallery follow after the break.

The phone will also have a relatively near-term release. Already in testing in Spain, the 8300 could be available in the country as early as May or June. Its likely carrier there will be the GSM-based Vodafone, suggesting that the phone should be available through AT&T in the US and Rogers in Canada in a similar timeframe. Pricing hasn't been revealed, but should crest above the 8800 given the extra features. [via Javier and Xataka]
