Microsoft to release special Halo 3 Zune

Halo 3 Zune in June

At a preview event in New York City yesterday, Microsoft revealed the existence of a special "Halo 3 Edition" Zune player. Halo 3 is the next game in Bungie's first-person shooter series, and its release for the Xbox 360 later this year is expected to produce phenomenal revenue for Microsoft's gaming division (which owns Bungie). The custom Zune will arrive in mid-June, and be etched in the militaristic sci-fi style typical of Halo. The default wallpaper will be changed, and the box (not seen here) will bear the likeness of the game's protagonist, the Master Chief.
