Lenovo ThinkPad X61 Leak
Lenovo's upcoming Santa Rosa update to its ThinkPad X-series has leaked today through two premature news releases from the company's own website. The X61 Tablet and ultraportable each use Intel's latest CPUs and gain the benefit of faster X3100 graphics and 802.11n Wi-Fi. Each also shares the same Bluetooth, 120GB hard drive, and 2GB of memory with the option of a 1GB Turbo Memory flash cache.
Performance depends on the platform: the Tablet is the fastest with the choice of 2GHz or 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo processors for when speed is a priority. The ultraportable exchanges this for battery life with 1.4GHz or 1.6GHz low-voltage Core 2 Duos. An option will exist for the Tablet alone that sharpens the 12-inch touchscreen from 1024x768 to 1400x1050.
Neither of the leaked documents points to a certain release date or lists pricing, indicating that Lenovo has yet to settle on the last release details. Their debut is still expected sometime within the next several weeks. [via NotebookReview]

Lenovo Customer Service
While I've always been impressed with the build quality of Thinkpad laptops, I've recently had a nightmare of an experience dealing with Lenovo's customer service.
In short: Lenovo lied to me, stole my money and told me to go away.
For those of you interested in the gory details, below is a link I posted on Google Finance with much more information:

I've dealt with Lenovo Executive Customer Relations Rep Tony Bumarch (bumarch@us.lenovo.com) and Lenovo VP of Marketing David Churbuck (dchurbuck@us.lenovo.com) only to have them turn a deaf ear to my pleas for help and go out of their way to insinuate that I am a liar.
I suppose the lesson in all of this is Buyer Beware when dealing with Lenovo.
