Verizon Premium Plans
Verizon on Monday morning acted on its claims of better service by offering America's Choice Premium plans. Noticeably similar to the AT&T iPhone plans, the new options also bring 'unlimited' data, including e-mail, and vary by minutes rather than features. Unique, however, is unlimited text and picture messaging as well as VZ Navigator for assisted GPS and basic downloadable video clips from V CAST.
Pricing starts at $80 per month with 450 minutes for daytime use and unlimited nights and weekends; the plans top out with the ultimate $240 monthly plan, which offers 6000 minutes. Every plan also includes unlimited calling between Verizon phones, the company says. Using the Premium service currently demands phones that include all of the features, such as the LG Chocolate, enV, or VX8300 (pictured) as well as Motorola's RAZR V3m.

it's a start
Well, the iPhone is already forcing the competing wireless carriers to react. Whether or not you buy the iPhone, every consumer should begin to benefit from its presence, as others have to compete w/ it now. Competition is great, and Apple is a strong force to be reckoned with, which means the consumer wins!
