MySpace Mobile hits Canada with Rogers

MySpace Mobile at Rogers
MySpace today announced a deal with Rogers Wireless to offer MySpace Mobile, making the GSM carrier the first to offer the service in Canada. The Rogers edition gives subscribers most of the same options as they would have on a desktop, allowing them to update their blog, comments, or profile; they can equally send or receive friend requests and check either public bulletins from friends or their own private e-mail.
Using the service requires one of several Internet-capable phones, including the 3G-capable Samsung A706, Sony-Ericsson's W580 and W810 Walkman handsets, the Samsung A516, and the LG TU500. Rogers says its service is exclusive to its phone network and offers its portable MySpace today in English or French for $5 per month beyond a subscriber's usual service plan.
