Nokia OLED BT Headsets

Nokia today made aggressive steps into music phone accessories with a series of new Bluetooth audio systems. The stereo BH-903 (pictured) and mono BH-902 each revolve around a monochrome OLED screen that provides vital data beyond the basic notices of other earpieces. Both sets display call data and notify of inbound MMS and SMS messages; the 903 adds a full directional pad for controlling music on any cellphone that fits A2DP stereo audio profile, and will also pause music for new phone calls.

Battery life is longest in the music-capable model, whose around-the-neck size allows it to play music wirelessly for 15 hours before a recharge. The smaller, ear-worn 902 runs for eight hours. Either set will be available worldwide in the fall at prices of 115 and 200 Euros ($157 and $273) respectively.

Also introduced today are the MD-7W Bluetooth speakers, a 130 Euro ($177) wireless speaker set for public listening and magnetic connections for portability; the LD-4W Bluetooth GPS receiver (125 Euros/$171) that adds navigation to supporting phones for up to 10 hours; and the DC-1 power pack, a 105 Euro ($143) add-on that provides the equivalent of up to three Nokia batteries for long trips. These accessories should also be available worldwide by the end of the year.

    re: displays on headset

Um...excuse me? i mean hello, don't you have tentacle eyes? When I wear my bluetooth headset, I can still look at the display. Just shift those eyes earwards--very simple.

    *LOL*
