Samsung i760 Verizon Slip

Samsung's i760 text messaging phone is already at Verizon more than a week ahead of its actual release date, according to reports from several subscribers. Though reports have put the official release on September 24th, contacting either the business or customer service lines gives access to the unique phone, which centers around its unique front keypad. The layout is angled to still provide a natural typing feel when the phone is tilted on its side for the lateral slide-out keyboard.

Verizon hasn't confirmed any features of the i760 on its own; the Windows Mobile 6-based handset is nonetheless known to sport a 1.3-megapixel camera at the back as well as Bluetooth, EVDO cellular Internet access, and a likely Wi-Fi connection. Pricing is accordingly high, according to claims: placing an order for its official SKU, SCHi760ZKV, will cost $350 for a two-year contract after a $50 rebate. A one-year plan is said to cost $410 after an equal rebate. [via BGR]
