Sky IM-U220 banana slider

The Korean luxury brand of Pantech, Sky, has revealed its latest phone, the IM-U220. The product joins the preceding 210 in offering 7.2Mbps HSDPA, a technology just deploying in Korea, and extremely rare everywhere else. The phones also share a microSD slot in common, although the camera in the 220 is reduced to 1.3 megapixels. The greatest difference is in form factor, since while the 210 is a fairly conventional slider, the 220 adopts a "banana slider" shape similar to Motorola's RIZR Z8. It should be released shortly for 400,000 won ($437). [via Akihabara News]
