E-Ten Glofiish X600

Clarifying release information, E-Ten has announced another version of its Glofiish smartphone, bearing the originally anticipated X600 identifier. The phone again uses a SiRFstar III GPS receiver, and boasts 802.11b/g wireless; here, Bluetooth support is confirmed to be at the 2.0 level, but HSDPA is gone, leaving users with EDGE as the fastest cellular protocol. Similarly stripped away is the resolution of the 2.8-inch touchscreen, which is limited to 320x240.

Other downgrades include a processor scaled back to 400MHz, and fixed focus on the two-megapixel camera. Memory does include 64MB of RAM and 128MB of ROM however, with microSD cards providing the bulk of storage. Also included is Windows Mobile 6 Professional, which has portable versions of Microsoft Office applications. The color scheme of the phone, meanwhile, has been changed to black with red trim. The X600 should go on sale to unspecified markets in mid-November, at a price as yet unmentioned. [via SlashPhone]
