LG Chocolate Blue Ice
Hoping to inject some further energy into its music phone line for the holidays, Verizon today rolled out its LG Chocolate Blue Ice. The new version is close in keeping to the spirit of the original version but comes in a more attention-getting light blue color that sets off the red trim lighting around the wheel and buttons, according to the cell carrier. It also includes darker blue accents around the keypad.
The phone still offers its characteristic iPod-like scroll wheel and touch-sensitive buttons with haptic feedback. A 1.3-megapixel camera, assisted GPS support, and microSD support up to 4GB also finish up the slider's feature set.
As part of the launch of the Blue Ice phone, Verizon is also dropping the price slightly on the phone, reducing the up-front cost from $100 to $80 with a two-year contract and a rebate. It lists online today but should begin shipping by December 7th both directly and through Verizon's shops.
