Treo 755p at Verizon Soon
Palm's Treo 755p smartphone will at last reach Verizon by early next week, according to shots obtained by Engadget and new price info from BGR. Although already available through Sprint since May, the upgraded version of the 700 series should bring Google Maps, a stealth antenna, and the ability to receive 'push' Exchange e-mail through the Palm OS instead of Windows Mobile.
The 1.3-megapixel camera, miniSD card support up to 4GB for media and office documents, and larger 128MB of memory versus the 64MB of the 700wx should also carry through to Verizon's version. The carrier reportedly intends to sell the phone for $450 with a two-year contract or $570 without any obligation; online and direct phone sales will start on December 17th with retail units reaching stores by January 7th.
