IOGEAR Bluetooth Kit

IOGEAR today ended its year with a pair of Bluetooth devices made just for phones. The Hands Free Car Kit clips to the overhead visor on most cars and provides any phone that fits the Bluetooth hands-free profile with a speakerphone to place and answer calls without reaching for the device itself. The kit likewise pairs with Bluetooth-capable computers to serve as a breakaway speakerphone for Skype and other VoIP servics. It comes with echo and noise as well as an 8-hour battery life, and ships today for $70.

Also releasing today are IOGEAR's Wireless Stereo Headphones. Fitting over the ear, the listening device is focused on music and provides stereo wireless sound up to the 33-foot limit of the Bluetooth standard. Built-in controls on the earpiece allow it to skip tracks without reaching for the phone or computer, the company says. Playback lasts for up to 6.5 hours at a time. The headphones ship for $50 are fully supported by Mac OS X Leopard, later versions of Windows XP and Vista, and many cellphones.
