Dualshock 3, PS3, PSP
Sony today announced that it will ship two major console bundles this year, as well as making the Dualshock 3 controller available for North American audiences. The Dualshock 3 wireless controller brings back the force feedback rumble from the Playstation 2, while incorporating the Sixaxis features of the standard PS3 controller. The Dualshock 3 controller will be available in April, at a cost of $55, and will be supported by over 100 current PS3 titles.
Following the release of the Dualshock 3 is the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Playstation 3 bundle which includes the new controller and the game from which the bundle gets its namesake. The Playstation 3 model that is included will come with a 80GB hard drive, and will be available in late second quarter 2008 for $500.
Sony is also shipping a God of War Entertainment Pack, which consists of a blood red PSP, a copy of God of War: Chains of Olympus, a UMD with the comedy Superbad, and a voucher to download Syphon Filter: Combat Ops from the PlayStation Store. The bundle ships in June for $200, with the standalone version of GoW shipping March 4th.
