SanDisk Sansa Fuze Leak
SanDisk is gearing up a new music player that would straddle the line between the basic Sansa Clip and the larger View, a leaked flyer for an accessory kit shows. The Sansa Fuze would sit almost exactly between its two sister devices in size and would share the same iPod-like jogwheel while offering a screen roughly as large as or larger than that of the third-generation iPod nano. Few details are revealed in the leak, though it becomes clear SanDisk will offer the player in blue and other colors as well as include the same on-screen interface, complete with photo and video support.
The flyer also provides no clues as to the release date of the Fuze. However, the complete state of the accessory and seemingly the new Sansa itself points to a likely release during the spring. Capacity is likely to sit between 4GB and 8GB at prices matching or undercutting its chief competitor from Apple. [via ABI]

Welcome choices
I welcome more choices. I'm not sure how well they'll actually compete in features with a nano. Some things are just preferences and this still isn't as nice looking as the nano and I'm sure it won't feel as nice either. They'll probably have radio and play mpeg-4 video. And I highly doubt that's a jog wheel. It's probably the same multi-position button on the rest of their players. But if the price is right, I might be interested in replacing my clip with this for the extra capacity and ability to play my non-DRM video.
