Genius launches GHP-05 headphones

Genius released a premium headphone set Tuesday which reportedly offers a more 'live' listening experience thanks to a new 3D surround technology. The GHP-05 Live features an integrated DRD True 3D surround sound system said to enhance bass and dynamic range. According to Genius, the technology allows for pronounced low bass while delivering high treble levels along with well-defined vocals.

DRD’s True 3D sound allowed engineers to power amplifiers and speakers with precise echo phase control to improve audio range. Genius says its newest headphone is ideal for reproducing classical and vocal-heavy music.

The headset itself features swiveling, velvet padded ears. The GHP-05 set comes with a 3.5mm RCA converter, a 6.3mm gold plate adaptor and a 6.5-foot extension cable in addition to the integrated 6.5-foot cord to expand usability. The set requires two AAA batteries, which are included. Priced at $59, the set is currently available online.
