Tuesday, March 25thWindows Mobile 6.1 due on April 1st?
The next version of Microsoft mobile operating system, Windows Mobile, may be released on April 1st, a British site claims. Quoting "sources close to the matter," the site suggests that at the least a formal announcement will be made, in which case the update would be provided sometime thereafter via download and/or new mobile devices. Upgrades from Windows Mobile 5 to 6 have typically been handled by either by device makers, or regional wireless carriers.
Version 6.1 of the OS is expected by many observers to be an important milestone, simplifying the layout of Windows Mobile, while simultaneously adding elements such as new fonts, a new home screen and a task manager. Copy-and-paste functions are also expected, which may make smartphones more practical for business users. [via Pocket-lint]

But seriously, if you update your MS software on your phone, does anything change??? Aren't all the buttons doing a specific thing and just that one thing?
On the iPhone, a software rev can bring lots of new changes to your old iPhone. But I do not think that is true of the current cell phones running MS software.
Just a thought.
