Plantronics intros Discovery 925 Bluetooth earpieces

Plantronics on Tuesday unveiled the Discovery 925 Bluetooth headset at the CTIA Wireless show in Las Vegas. With the new 925 line, Plantronics hopes to appeal to style-conscious men and women. Noteworthy features include AudioIQ, a noise reduction technology, as well as a carrying case that charges the headset.

A matching soft textile carrying case is included with the 925, featuring a built-in battery extension so users can charge the headset, effectively doubling the its battery rating of five hours of talk time. Standby time is said to be seven days.

The 925's face-formed VFrame design is covered in Onyx Black, Alchemy Gold and Cerise Pink, and all are treated with glass beads. Three eartips are included for a custom fit and to hold the device in place, and the company's QuickPair software is responsible for synchronizing the 925 with the majority of Bluetooth phones.

The 925 in black is available now for $150, while the gold and pink versions arrive in May.
