dom2cool, You are right. It doesn't run OSX right now. That may change in the near future thatnks to Psystar bringing Apple's OSX EULA to the forefront. No tech company has really test the validity of such a EULA here in the States yet. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple finds that it cannot legally force folks to only use OSX on Macs, and not PCs. Since Apple starting selling OSX seperately (and using intel procs) they have crossed the line from hardware manufacturer to computer technology company, which sells both software and hardware. IMHO, it is only a matter of time until Apple will be forced to let others use their OS. They may not have to support it, but they may not have a choice about others installing it on non-Apple hardware.

You also need to consider that this is a Japanese company and that price is converted from yen. With the current crappy U.S. dollar (thank you Mr. Bush), what did you expect? You compared this to the price of the 24" iMac. You realize that the 24" iMac, in Japan, costs 239,800 yen. That is almost $600.00 more expensive than the Fujitsu.

Fujitsu still builds their computers in Japan and provide a full international warranty with their machines. This is another reason that their prices are a bit higher.

Commodus, You are correct. The prices in Japan already include the tax in the final price. That has been the case for at least a year or two (cannot recall exactly how long that has been going on). I really like that system. You always know exactly what the price will be....and the tax rate is the same all over Japan, unlike here in the States, where each city sets is tax rate.
