Verizon enV2 ship dates

Verizon Wireless on Tuesday announced it will ship the LG enV2 cell phone by the end of April, as promised earlier, with the phone making its official release tomorrow. The enV2 was unveiled at the CTIA Wireless 2008 show at the start of the month, and will be sold at all Verizon retailers across the country as well as Circuit City and on Verizon's website.

The phone will be available in either black or maroon, and feature a full QWERTY keyboard opposite a 2.4-inch internal screen. A 2-megapixel camera along with a microSDHC slot are new features not found on the original enV.

Other major features include Verizon's V Cast Music and Video access, as well as VZ Navigator assisted GPS. Integrated IM programs include AIM, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo!, with the latter company also providing mobile email access.

The enV2 will cost $130 after a $50 rebate on a new two-year contract.
