Friday, May 16thTreo 800w image leaked online?
An early photo of Palm's upcoming Treo 800w smartphone has leaked online, accounts say. Posted by a Palm OS hacker, the image appears to resemble both renderings and Sprint's own press image, depicting a device which takes styling queues from its cheaper cousin the Centro. Unexpected however is the color, as the photo model is blue, and previous indications have pointed to a "charcoal" exterior. The hacker adds that the phone uses a micro-USB connector.
Previous reports have indicated that the phone will run Windows Mobile 6.1, with Palm's own form of SMS threading. The screen is expected to have a 320x320 resolution, and internal to the design should be 128MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM, along with receivers for GPS, Wi-Fi and EVDO Rev. A. A July release is anticipated, possibly on the 22nd. [via Palm Infocenter]

Yyaaaaaawwwwwnnnnn.
The Treo was a great product when it was being developed by passionate people. So was the PalmOS. I used to look forward to new Treo/PalmOS products. Are ALL the innovative people in the consumer electronics world now employed at 1 Infinite Loop?
How the mighty have fallen.
Crap!
That looks horrible. Sorry, but it does. I seriously don't think that's a "new" phone. How could it be? What are they thinking?
Tell you what Palm. I will let you pay me to give my opinion, perhaps you can then create a product that not only works, but looks great.
Call me ;-)
