Moto EM30 appears at FCC
Motorola sent a new phone to the FCC patent office, giving us a first look at the new bar-style handset, called the EM30. The new phone bears a striking resemblance to the company's ROKR E8, with a touch-sensitive, application-specific keypad, but without that phone's Omega wheel for navigation, opting to use a standard D-pad instead.
The photos submitted to the FCC show a red and silver handset, and also reveal it will include a 2.0 megapixel camera. The FCC files also reveal the phone will include a microSD card slot to supplement an expected 2GB of built-in memory accessible via a miniUSB port, as well as a wireless Bluetooth connection and GPRS and EDGE data network support. The quad-band GSM phone will have music capabilities and features a dedicated 3.5mm headset / headphone jack. Motorola's Crystal Talk noise reduction and volume adjustment technology is also said to be part of the feature-set.
While it is not know when the phone will make it to market or who will carry it, look for its release soon. [via Phonescoop]
