ModeLabs intros Bluetrek Metal ultra-slim headset

ModeLabs Group on Monday introduced what the company claims is the lightest and thinnest Bluetooth headset yet with the Bluetrek Metal. Despite being made mostly of metal, the headset's claimed weight is just 5.5 grams, or less than a fifth of an ounce. The French company's newest product is about 4mm (0.16 inches) thick as well.

First seen at the CeBIT show and later at CITA, the Bluetrek Metal's battery life is rated at up to five hours in talk mode, and over seven days in sleep mode. The headset will launch throughout Europe later on this month, and carry an equivalent price of about $60 for the black headset or $76 for the stainless steel version.
