Nokia CK 100/600 and BH212

In addition to introducing its two new Eseries phones, Nokia today rolled out a pair of hands-free kits for the car as well as a new Bluetooth earpiece. The CK-600 car kit headlines the launch and builds in a color display that lets users take Bluetooth phone calls visually; the LCD both shows inbound caller ID and, on supporting phones, sync contacts to make outbound calls. It also includes a separate media player function that will play music from phones with stereo Bluetooth support. A separate physical remote control allows thumbing through information from the steering wheel.

The CK-100 is intended for more basic use and uses just a simple jog wheel for answering or ending calls as well as adjusting volume; it compensates for the lack of visual output by allowing voice guidance for dialing and other commands without requiring these features for the phone itself.

The Bluetooth headset in the launch event, the BH-212, stands out primarily through its unusually long 11-hour battery life; it also drops the conventional over-the-top ear hook in favor of a purportedly more comfortable "U" hook that grabs the back of the wearer's ear.

Nokia hasn't set prices and release dates for either the car kits or the headset.
