New MB Pro Case Spotted
Apple's next-generation MacBook Pro may have had its first glimpse today, says the Taiwan-area site Apple.pro. The report claims to have a photo of the new notebook's casing in prototype form as well as additional details, including items not pictured in the leak. The design appears to be more tapered like that of the MacBook Air and doesn't immediately reveal a backlit Apple logo, although this is most likely due to the incomplete nature of the case.
The design should also have a more rectangular battery versus the squarish design of current models and will have an Air-like keyboard, though no photos are provided to immediately confirm these changes.
Companies in Taiwan and mainland China frequently manufacture and assemble parts for Apple's systems and include companies such as ASUS, Hon Hai Precision, and Quanta, though none of these is identified as a source for the photo.
Apple has been rumored by AppleInsider to be implementing the changes described in the link for a major redesign appearing in the near future, which most observers speculate will appear shortly after Intel makes available its next-generation Centrino 2 notebook platform and accompanying mobile processors. Similar changes are also expected for the regular MacBook. [via Mac Rumors]

I love the interface, the design, and of course the beautiful capacitive multi-touch screen. If only I could plug it into any standard micro USB cable, without a proprietary software interface, and just load my JPGs, PDFs, DOCs, PPTs, XLSs, etc directly either via the cable, Bluetooth, WiFi, Infrared port or the standard SDcard(SIM card too); just like I do with any Palm or Pocket PC...

What's wrong with this picture... Look at it carefully. I don't think we are looking at a MacBook.
