Motorola PEBL-U8 images

Images of what is believed to be Motorola's upcoming version of the PEBL-U8 have appeared on the web. The clamshell phone sports a 2.2-inch display with 320x240 (QVGA) resolution, and support for 262,000 colors. A hidden CLI display on the outside panel displays less detailed information. The phone supports VOD and MOD download services, and can store MP3 tracks. Access to 3G data networks allows for download speeds up to 7.2Mbps.

A dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack is integrated into the new PEBL, which is also able to sync with users' credit cards to make payments, and function as an e-book reader. GPS functionality is included, along with a two-megapixel camera able to capture video as well as still images.

The phone is said to now be available in Korea; no information about a North American release has been provided. [via Akihabara News]

eyes. I definitely want two of those. Now if those two cuties would just take those ugly purple things they have in their hands and toss them away, I'd be much happier.

Why would anyone want a Motorola handset anymore? They've irreparably damaged their reputation at the most competitive time in handset history. Motorola is an embarrassment to American industry and executive morality.
