Nikon D90 Photo Leak

Nikon's frequently rumored D90 has been spotted in a photo with supporting claims that it's legitimate, according to various reports. A shot posted today at a Nikon enthusiast rumor site appears to show the new mid-range digital SLR and, if accurate, confirms the existence of a live video recording feature; a small microphone array (top center) not present on the D80 would be used to capture sound and make the D90 the first DSLR to capture full audio and video.

The authenticity of the image has already been challenged but is described as accurate in a comment by author and camera expert Thom Hogan, who also corroborates previously leaked details about the D90.

Nikon's replacement for the D80 is expected to be a major update and includes both a 12-megapixel sensor, GPS for geotagging photos, live LCD previews, a faster 4.5 shots per second and a longer-ranged 18-105mm kit lens. A release date is still unknown but is likely to be made available on or shortly before the opening day of the Photokina expo in late September. [via Photography Bay]

D80 Replacement?

I hope it keeps the D80's internal AF motor. I'd like to move up from my D40x to something with internal AF, since none of Nikon's prime lenses support AF-S.

GPS? Or do they mean...

it includes provision for accepting a GPS module / device because the above article leads you to believe it has a built-in GPS.
