Pico D USB swivel drive
Super Talent says it has added a swivel model to its family of so-called "World's Smallest USB Drives". Using chip-on-board technology, the Pico D measures a miniscule 1.4-inches, but stores up to 8G of data in a swivel-open case. The company says the Pico D comes with a lifetime warranty, is shock and water resistant and can support transfer speeds of up to 30MB/sec, or 200X.
The Pico D comes in various capacities ranging from 1 - 8GB. The 8GB model will be available this week at NewBiz and NewEgg.com, starting from $40.

yet you seem to ignore you user's comments, this is FAR from the world smallest USB drive. I own 2 of the world's truly smallest USB drives and they both fit in the coin section of my wallet barely showing a bulge. Here's a photo. It's about 1/4 the size of the one above.

Is it necessary?

Is it really necessary to make USB drives smaller and smaller? Is this a "title" that manufacturers are striving for?

Good price! However I would expect the actual price to be higher for 8G once you actually look at the newegg.com site. It's sad when you know in advance that the writing is careless -- but it's a time saver too!

is this some form of website patriotism. I found and proved a error in the reporting of this story and provided the evidence, and yet 2 people vote my comment down. I guess MacNN has fanboyz too.
