ASUS shows new Eee PCs

The Eee PC line has yet again expanded with four new models, ASUS announced on Monday. The 1000HD XP is the only one with a 10-inch LCD display, while the 904HD XP, 901 XP and 900 XP (16G) feature an 8.9-inch screen, though all are capable of 1024x600 resolution. The spec sheet reveals only the 901 XP will positively come with the Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, while the other three are simply shipping with an Intel Mobile CPU.

Common features to all include 1GB of RAM, as well as 802.11b/g WLAN in addition to an Ethernet jack. The Eee PC 901 XP adds draft-N WLAN as well as Bluetooth connectivity, which the 1000HD XP also receives. While the HD will have an 80GB SATA HDD, the 901 XP will ship with a 12GB SSD, and the 900 XP up it to a 16GB capacity. The operating system on all will be Windows XP Home. An SD/SDHC and MMC memory card slot is integrated into each chassis as well.

The new notebooks will, for now, only be available in ASUS' home market of Taiwan, with equivalent prices ranging from $447 for the 900 XP, $479 for the 904HD XP and $542 for the 901 XP and 1000HD XP. [via UMPC Fever]
