Dell Studio Mike Ming

Applying the same touch that it did to earlier Inspirons, Dell today has introduced Mike Ming Edition Studio notebooks. Both the 15- and 17-inch models now have both the "Bunch O Surfers" and "Sea Sky" looks on their rear lids from the since phased-out models but also three new patterns that reflect the tattoo-like work of their namesake New York City-based artist.

The update is split equally into Standard and Extreme models depending on the specifications as well as the individual notebook sizes. All Standard models come with 2GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive, with performance supplied by a 2GHz Core 2 Duo and a Mobility Radeon HD 3450 in the Studio 15 while a 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo and Mobility Radeon HD 3650 fit into the Studio 17. Moving to the Extreme models ups memory to 3GB and also boosts the hard drive capacity to 320GB.

All four configurations are already up for sale today and range in price from $799 for the Standard 15-inch notebook to $1,099 for the Extreme 17-inch system.
