LG DVS450H Player

LG's Swedish website has revealed the company's new DVD player, the DVS450H. The player separates itself from ordinary readers using a top-mounted loader and eliminating all but a thin slice of the cabinet for controls. To give users options of showing off its new player, LG ensured the DVS450H can be mounted vertically or horizontally, as well as on walls.

The player is also one of LG's best in the category with HDMI output and full upconversion of movies to 1080p. A USB 2.0 port allows users to connect external drives or other portable electronics devices to the player in order to view their content; supported formats involve DiVX HD, XviD-H, MP3, WMA and JPEG files found either on discs or on outside drives.

LG of Sweden says the DVS450H will be released in October, priced at an equivalent of approximately $235. No word on when or if the DVD player will come to the US. [via GeekAlerts]
