Google loses Forestle

Google has ended its affiliation with Forestle, the search engine that promised to donate all of its proceeds to save rainforests, according to Ars Technica. Google claimed Forestle.com offered "incentives to click artificially on sponsored links" despite a disclaimer at the top of the page telling visitors to "only click on Google sponsored links if you are really interested in them."

Forestle only lasted four days before Google pulled out. The money was going to the Adopt and Acre program to save rainforest acreage. Even in the limited time frame of activity, the site claimed to have saved almost 20,000 square yards.

Forestle says it is attempting to clarify and resolve issues with Google, but the future remains uncertain.

    Who gives a s***?

s**** the tree huggers. Trees are just another crop like wheat. It just takes longer to grow them. We are in no danger of running out of them.

    Get a f****** life!

    Liberal losers

You greeners need to get out more. Trees are not an endangered species...and we can easily make more of them. Who gives a s*** about a "green" search engine.

Go m********* with your Obama posters.

    ouch!

good argument strat! such a convincing presentation! where'd you get that, glenn beck? rush limbaugh? those pillars of science and knowledge? and to use the word m*********! such a clever touch!

i'd rip your argument apart but something tells me it would be way over your head. after all, anyone who uses the argument that trees are not an endangered species is going to have a real difficult time with understanding an eco system. guess i'll stick with something you'll relate to...

    oh yeah man!

there ya go. i await your snappy reply.

    Clueless libs

I live in the heart of spotted owl country. Believe it or not, the timber companies replant after they cut trees down. Perhaps you'd like to wipe your a** on a corncob?Go buy some carbon offsets to assuage your guilt for breathing.
