AT&T adds Samsung a237

Network provider AT&T on Tuesday announced it has started to offer Samsung's a237 clamshell handset for sale. The a237 is a quad-band GSM phone and supports EDGE for data. Bluetooth connectivity allows users to pair up supported wireless devices, including headsets and earphones, in addition to sending and receiving files. AOL, Windows Live and Yahoo! mobile chat program support, an email client as well as a web browser allows Internet connectivity and communication.

The a237 uses a 128x160 resolution main display supplemented by a 1-inch external display with a 96x96 resolution. The on-board camera will capture videos in VGA resolution and has a self-time to allow users to get themselves in the frame.

The phone should be available on AT&T's webstore later on this week in blue, red or black, price at nearly $20 after a $30 mail-in rebate and signed two-year contract. [via Mobile Burn]
