Aspyr ships Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Sept. 15

Aspyr Media has announced it will ship Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare beginning September 15. The first-person shooter warfare game features new story lines with multiple plot twists, and the game's special effects stress photo-realism, using new depth-of-field and shading effects to heighten the visual immersion in the game.

Call of Duty 4 also features multiplayer gaming, with a leveling system, hot-join and matchmaking capabilities, and party and class play for a variety of multiplayer skill levels. There are new perks to unlock, over 100 challenges and numerous new environments for gameplay.

The game also features authentic and advanced weaponry, with over 70 new weapons, from .50 caliber sniper rifles to an M-249 SAW machine gun. The game places the player in a realistic battle, with satellite and air support, attack choppers and more. It is available for pre-order for $55, and will require Mac OS X 10.5.4 an above, an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz processor or better, 1GB RAM and a minimum of a Radeon X1600 or GeForce FX 7300 video card. Aspyr needs to step up their Mac development in a SERIOUS way.

So now on Sept 15th it'll be out for the Mac. Meanwhile November 15th COD5 comes out. So I guess that means we'll see COD5 for the Mac November 2009......

Not impressed, Aspyr. Not at all. Hire some friggn' Mac developers. Or, here's an idea. PARALLEL DEVELOPMENT.

Not sure I get...

developers like this. They waited until the very last minute to say whether this would be Intel only and sure enough, it is. Don't got no Intel machine. BUT you can bet your bottom dollar, when I do get an Intel machine, I will NOT be buying ANYTHING from Ass-pire.

You can be sure I'll henceforth buy the winblowz versions of these games to run on the Intel Mac I will some day own.
