Canon may launch 5D mk II
Canon is expected later this month to unveil an updated EOS 5D Mark II at Photokina, with insiders predicting a 21-megapixel sensor and HD movie capturing, like the recently unveiled Nikon D90. CNET reveals that Canon said it would replace a "long overdue model" of SLR, potentially indicating the three year-old 5D. Some think that the D90-style additions would stray too much from Canon's focus on quality, rather than loading down its camera with extraneous features.
The 5D Mark II is expected to go up against Nikon's D700, and the heavily-rumored Sony full-frame DSLR.
Late last week, alleged specs for the new DSLR were leaked, identifying that Canon would put a DIGIC IV sensor into the camera, which offers enhanced noise management. Canon is also expected to have a "for her" model, potentially in pink.

The pink "for her" model is a joke, and you should be embarrassed for believing, and repeating, it.
No man or woman is going to throw down $3,000 for a upper mid-end camera, plus more for lenses, and be caught carrying a pink camera. There's demand for cameras in different hues, but it's at the low end, point and shoot, not at advanced SLRs.
