Sony Wi-Fi camera at FCC

A recently-spotted FCC filing revealed few specifications and details on Sony's upcoming Cyber-shot DSC-G3 digital camera, although one key revelation in the document is the fact the camera will come with 802.11b/g Wi-Fi. This would mark the second Cyber-shot with the ability to share photos wirelessly, as Sony released the Wi-Fi equipped DSC-G1 over a year ago.

From the wireframe images supplied to the FCC and shown below, the 3.5-inch LCD from the DSC-G1 is likely to be used on the new point-and-shoot digital camera, although it may be upgraded with touch sensitivity. Internal storage should be at least 2GB, with a megapixel increase for the sensor to at least 10. Official information is expected to be released at the Photokina show held in Germany later in September. [via Engadget]
