Visonman intros gaming PC

Server, notebook and desktop and gaming PC maker Visionman on Wednesday introduced a new water-cooled gaming PC to its comprehensive range of gaming PCs, with the Widow Red Blizzard. The latest PC runs a dual-core Intel 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo, which gets cooling from a quiet liquid CPU cooling system that, Visionman is quick to point out, lends itself well to overclocking the CPU. As such, there is also no need for a noisy fan and heatsink combination. The system also includes 2GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive from Western Digital.

The hardware is housed in a freshly designed Widow case, which features a brushed aluminum Widow logo and red LED lighting accents. The all-important graphics performance is handled by NVIDIA’s GeForce 9600GT video card with 512MB of dedicated memory and PhysX support.

A sound-card with 7.1-channel high-definition audio support lets users connect to surround sound systems, while an Ethernet jack supplies the requisite network connection. A 20x DVD burner with Lightscribe acts as the optical drive. A 580W power supply feeds all the hardware. Expandability comes via four USB 2.0 ports, though they are expandable to 10, and there is a single PCIe x16, PCIe x1 and two PCI card slots.

The Widow PC Red Blizzard ships with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit OS and a multimedia mouse and keyboard and is available via the Widow PC and Visionman websites as well as retailers now, priced at $999.
