T-Mobile gets entry-level Nokia 1680

T-Mobile has recently added the affordably-priced Nokia 1680 dual-band handset to its line-up. The handset's features include the basics such as a VGA camera that will take stills and video, built-in speakerphone functionality and text and picture messaging support. The handset will support T-Mobile’s myFaves service that includes unlimited calling to a set amount of contacts.

Battery life is rated at four hours of talk time and a hands-free headset is included with the phone. Web-based email and access to mobile AOL, ICQ, MSN and Yahoo IM programs is supported. After a $45 instant discount, the 1680 costs just $15 with a two-year contract through T-Mobile. Only the black 1680 will be offered by T-Mobile, and not the silver and purple handsets.
