Bell, Solo holiday line-up

A Monday report from BGR lists upcoming handsets Canadian wireless provider Bell and Solo Mobile will launch in time for the Christmas shopping season. The same report alleges Bell will sell a Motorola handset in 2009 running the Android OS that debuted in the T-Mobile G1. Apart from Bell getting a slew of handsets that include such high-tech smartphones like the BlackBerry Storm plus HTC's Diamond and Touch Pro, the provider will also introduce new plans.

While the dates are not officially confirmed, the report states the BlackBerry Storm will arrive in Bell stores and online on November 21st, while the HTC Diamond, which will ship with 200 songs preloaded on the 4GB of internal memory, will arrive earlier in November. The HTC Touch Pro will be available in early December. A couple of LG handsets, the Reveal (Lotus) and Voyager, will launch in early and mid-November, respectively. The Reveal will ship with a Shimmer Kit that includes a case and crystal Bluetooth headset from Swarovski while the Voyager will have 350 songs on a 2GB microSD card. The Samsung Cleo is coming early in November, with the Sanyo Pro 200 and Pro 700 arriving in late November.

Apart from the hardware, Bell will reportedly introduce roll-over minutes, an earlier 5PM start to evening calling on higher-end plans and the new options to pay $15 CAD (about $12) for unlimited SMS messages and voicemail as well as a stand-alone data plan for $30 CAD (nearly $24).

Over at Solo, there are just two new devices launching, a white BlackBerry Pearl 8130 and Samsung's Cleo, though no dates were specified. The bigger news concerns the revamped voice plans, which include range from $15 CAD to $70 CAD ($54) and include 50 to 750 minutes per month, billed on a per-second basis. In addition, all $25 or more expensive plans include unlimited text messages.

Solo's new BlackBerry plans are said to include a $45 CAD ($35) plan that nets 150 minutes per month with unlimited calling after 7PM and no data restrictions, a $15 CAD data plan that gets 2MB of browsing per month and unlimited email, as well as a $30 CAD unlimited data plan.
