HP dv3500t Disappears
HP's dv3500t has already but inexplicably disappeared from the company's online store. The 13.3-inch notebook surfaces in a search of the company's site but results in a dead product link, leaving only the 12-inch tx2500z tablet and the 14-inch dv4 series as HP's smallest mainstream notebooks. The company had only revealed the system on October 1st.
HP hasn't warned of any cancellations for the dv3500 lineup. An HP official has been contacted for commentary on the sudden shift but hasn't responded as of press time.
The notebook is partly compensated by options for the dv4t, which now has the option for the same bronze color as the smaller portable. However, it loses the GeForce 9300M GS video, backlit keyboard and more minor changes to the system and would represent an unusual move for HP, which rarely pulls systems after less than a month of sales.
HP's withdrawl comes shortly after the introduction of the 9400M, which performs slightly faster than the 9300M GS and consolidates the usual northbridge, southbridge and video chipsets into a single part.

HP made the pre-configured version of the dv3500t, the dv3510nr, exclusive to Best Buy's "Blue Label" line. I just purchased one this week, and it's very nice.
