Voodoo, HP price drops
HP has recently dropped prices on two of its products, including the Envy 133 from its Voodoo PC line and the HP Blackbird 002 gaming desktop PC. As of Tuesday, both computers are now $200 less expensive, with the Envy 133 now priced at $1,899 and the Blackbird 002 at $1,799. In addition, those who order the Envy 133 will get a second battery for the notebook free of charge.
The entry-level Envy 133 includes Windows Vista Business 32-bit loaded onto its 80GB, 4200RPM hard disk drive along with a 1.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 2GB of RAM. Graphics are handled by an integrated Intel GMA X3100 processor. Bluetooth connectivity and a Wi-Fi module are both included. In comparison, the MacBook Air notebook costs $1,799 and sports a 1.6GHz Intel CPU, 2GB of RAM and 120GB of HDD space.
The HP Blackbird 002 is air-cooled, unlike its more expensive liquid-cooled counterparts. In addition, it has a 3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, and 2GB of RAM. Graphics processing is handled by an ATI Radeon HD3870 with 512MB of dedicated memory. Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium is loaded onto the 320GB SATA hard disk drive. [via jkOnTheRun]
