Samsung P3 Leak
A leak today from Generation MP3 today reveals that Samsung's introductions early next year should include a sequel to the YP-P2. Expectedly called the P3, the media player should be an evolutionary update that adds haptic (vibration) feedback as well as widgets like those from the company's TouchWiz interface for cellphones. Users can at least add clocks and calendars to the front end.
The device will also reportedly switch from a plastic body to aluminum and get a capacity boost to 32GB in the highest-end version. The 3-inch display, Bluetooth, FM radio and voice recorder should remain unchanged. Samsung is estimated to give the P3 about 30 hours music playback and five hours of video.
If on schedule, the P3 is believed due for an official unveiling at January's CES show and would likely be made available shortly afterwards for the US and other countries. Prices aren't known but are most likely to remain competitive with Apple and other touchscreen device makers.
