Okoro intros LX100 CableCARD media center PC

Okoro Media Systems on Thursday announced it will soon be shipping the more affordably priced OMS-LX100 Digital Entertainment System. Part of the company's low-profile home theater PC range, the OMS-LX100 features a single CableCARD tuner and a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor along with NVIDIA's GeForce 9300 video card. The system also includes 4GB of RAM and a 7,200RPM SATA hard drive preloaded with Windows Vista Home Premium that has a 500GB capacity. The media center PC supports 7.1-channel high-definition audio via an HDMI port, and has a dual-layer DVD burner.

A wireless keyboard with a 20-foot range comes packaged with the PC. Buyers will have a no-cost option to trade the ATI Digital Cable tuner for a dual NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuner. Connections include HDMI, DVI, VGA and a DisplayPort output. A 7-inch touchscreen display will be offered as an option in place of a simple front-panel display.

The Okoro OMS-LX100 will begin shipping December 20th, priced at $1,725.
