Dell XPS 1340 coming soon?

A product page for the XPS 1340 notebook PC on Dell's website hints at the upcoming release of the laptop, which could happen as early as this week. While the product page is incomplete, it does reveal the notebook will have a 64GB solid-state drive that will fit into the bay sized for traditional 2.5-inch hard disk drives. It's the same SSD as Dell uses in the XPS M1330 in overseas markets, and the XPS 1340 is likely to be an update of the XPS M1330 model.

The newer XPS M1340 will likely offer substantial improvements in terms of the hardware compared to the XPS M1330. The older notebook uses a 13.3-inch widescreen that can be optioned up to an LED-backlit display for better color support and longer battery life. Base versions shipped with a 1.66GHz Core 2 Duo chip from Intel, along with at least 1GB of RAM, but could be upgraded with a 2.2GHz CPU and 4GB of memory, along with hard drives as big as 200GB.
