T-Mboile G1 now in white

T-Mobile has announced on Wednesday that the T-Mobile G1 handset will now be available in a new color, white, adding to the currently available G1 in black or bronze. It will be priced at the same $179 with a two year contract as the other two handsets. Like the other handsets, the white G1 will support T-Mobile's HSDPA- or UMTS-based 3G service a full HTML web browser to take advantage of the fast data network or its built-in Wi-Fi connection.

The Google phone also supports Google's contact and e-mail services and includes an internally-made version of Google Maps to take advantage of its GPS. A compass lets users use Street View by rotating the handset itself. It will ship with a 1GB microSD card but is capable of supporting 16GB microSDHC media. It carries a contract-free price of $400.

At the same time, T-Mobile has announced the MotoZINE ZN5 will be available this holiday weekend at T-Mobile with a price tag of $100 but also a $100 mail-in rebate when purchased on a two-year contract, making it effectively free.
